Samantha’s Dragonfly

DragonflyButton2Dragonflies have been a blessing to me.  It is my connection to Samantha and seeing one brings comfort & peace.  The idea of Samantha’s Dragonfly was created from wanting to give back and pass along this blessing.

I have donated dragonflies to a local hospital for the keepsake boxes that they give out to families who have experienced a miscarriage or infant loss.  I also give out dragonflies to others who have experienced the loss of a child.  Currently, I give them to Waukesha Memorial Hospital to give out to those who have gone through a miscarriage or stillbirth.  I also provide them for a support group that I had gone to during my grief process to give out to those who are leaving the group and moving onto the next step. You can request a dragonfly for yourself or to give as a gift to someone.  It is my hope that the receiver will find comfort and peace as well.

Each dragonfly is handmade and includes a special poem that I wrote myself.  As there are many different kinds and colors of dragonflies, so too are the ones I make.  They are all brightly colored though to help bring a little beauty back into life when times are tough. There is no charge to request a dragonfly.  It is a ministry that I am embarking on in honor of our daughter Samantha.  All you need to do to request a dragonfly is to email me at liz@myinfantloss.com.  I just need to know the name and address of where it is going.

If you are interested in helping to keep Samantha’s Dragonfly going and helping in the ministry of passing on the blessing of the dragonfly, then I ask you to donate $5.00 to help continue to make it possible.  Below the request form is a donate button you can click on or after you request a dragonfly you can click the donate button.  Your donation will continue to make it possible to donate to the keepsake boxes & fulfill requests.
